It is always best to have an attorney as an advisor when purchasing real estate. How you hold title even on the home you live in is very important. You want to make sure that if someone gets "sue happy" that you are protected and your property will not be taken away. My best advice is to research an attorney who is in real estate law and personal trusts. They will need to review your whole life plan and see what protection you will need to have. Research LLC (Limited Liability Corporations) and LC (Limited Corporations). Ask for an attorney who owns real estate and not just one home, but is investing in several properties. In this manner, you know they are doing what they are recommending. Remember, even your house you live in is an investment.
